And the winner is…

Thanks to everyone who entered in my Blogiversary Giveaway – Part 1. Be sure to tune in on Sunday for the announcement of Part 2. I was encouraged to read all of the ways we lead green lives and even got a couple new ideas from readers.

I know you’re all anxious to find out who the two winners are, but first I’d like to share some of the ways readers are living green lives in case you didn’t have time to read through all the comments.

– Many of us are using the reusable grocery bags when shopping. I know at the grocery stores here in Boston, you get a discount (5 cents per bag) off your bill to which is nice. At Trader Joes, you get to enter your name into a drawing for a $25 gift card, so watch out for that too.

– Most people are also using reusable water bottle instead of buying bottled water.

– Most of us are recycling with some readers going to great lengths to be sure their recycleables are properly recycled. Nice work guys!

– A few of the readers mentioned compost piles. If you’d like to learn about worm composting, check out this post from Scott

– Cleaning products are another way readers have gone green. I haven’t done much in that regard. I did find this post about it, but if anyone has tips, let me know.

And now, on to the results. I used random.org to generate two numbers between 1 and 84. And the winners are…

YogaGracie and jesstyler (who took advantage of getting a second entry by making the chickpea salad from my blog, which is the entry that won for her!). I’ll contact you asking for your shipping information and to confirm your selection from Bright and Bold.

If you didn’t win, don’t give up just yet. I’ll be announcing another giveaway on Sunday AND lovely people at Bright and Bold found out about my giveaway and have offered you, my readers,

15% off anything in the store until August 28th !!

Use code BEANTOWN when checking out. And they have free ground shipping with NO minimum! So go buy that cute lunch bag you were hoping to win.

I’m confused by this bullet point:
“Include the logo and link back to this post in your post”
Does that mean our blog should link back to the post on your blog?

Nancy – when you post your entry in your blog, just include the logo with the pink ribbon and also include a link back to this post. This will help spread the word about the challenge. Let me know if you have other questions.
