It’s almost my 2nd blogiversary GIVEAWAY! Part 1
You know those people who absolutely love their birthdays? They plan extravegant parties every year and try to live it up the entire month of their birthday? Well I’m going to be like that for my blogiversary. And to celebrate, I’m going to give back to you – my readers!
This blog started as a way to document recipes for myself and has turned into a full-on hobby. I really enjoy all the cooking/baking, photography, and writing associated with this blog. I’ve “met” so many cool people through food blogging and it has become a huge part of who I am. So Thank you for eating my baked goods! And thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to read my blog.
As I mentioned, I’m going to celebrate all month long. My 2nd blogiversary is coming up on Friday August 28th, so I’m going to have 2 giveaways, each lasting 2 weeks long and having 2 winners, with an option to get up to 2 entries per person. I’m sorry to say, these giveaways are for US mailing addresses only (sorry international readers).
The theme for my giveaways is “A Few of my Favorite Things” (try reading that and not singing the song from Sound of Music). So what am I giving away? First, I’m giving away some eco-friendly treats. Hubby and I do what we can to have a “green” household. We have reusable grocery totes and bags, carry our BPA-free water bottles everywhere, only have one car, recycle, use energy efficient lightbulbs, and try to take public transportation whenever we can.
Two lucky readers will win an item from Bright and Bold. They carry Envirosax, SIGG water bottles, Built reusable Lunch bags and a bunch of other cool stuff. I have been eyeing this reusable lunch bag for quite some time… In fact, I’ll be ordering this beauty when I order the winner’s choices.
I will be giving away one item from the Eco Bottles collection, and one item from the Eco Lunch collection (excluding the laptop bag) of the winner’s choice. Winners will be announced on August 14th.
Here’s how you enter – leave a comment by midnight on August 13th with the following information:
– One way that you lead a “green” life
– Which item you would like if you win (either an Eco Bottles or an Eco Lunch item, excluding the laptop bag)
– A way for me to get ahold of you (email address is fine)
– Only one entry per person
– Sorry, no international entries
And, if you’d like to have a second chance to win, that is simple too.
– If you have a food blog: create and blog about something from my blog. New blog entries only and please link back to this page (you can even take the giveaway logo if you want). Then leave another comment here linking back to your blog post.
– If you don’t have a food blog: create something from my blog and shoot me an email with a pic and your thoughts on the dish

i love the fontega chicken sandwich with soup! yum panera!!
Barbaque chicken salad is delicious!
We use the via Panera catering for work a lot, but I don’t have just one Panera favorite. Breakfast is for sure the Asiago bagel, and the chicken salad is one of my favorites for lunch!
I’ve made cinnamon swirl bread pudding and imagine it tastes similarly amazing! I love getting the soup and sandwich combo at Panera, usually a broccoli cheddar soup if available and a turkey sandwich of some sort.
I always get a cinnamon crunch bagel with a green tea and a fruit cup 🙂
I love Panera! I usually get the you pick two with french onion soup and the fuji apple chicken salad….so good!
I always get one of the soups in a bread boule. Love the tomato soup especially.
I go for the cinnamon crunch bagels
our office loves panera bc theyre the most efficient place to grab lunch for everyone from. i typically go for the cobb, its a delish salad that is low in sugar and carbs. my boss never goes for the pick 2 bc hes too hungry for half of each. he wants the full version of anything. usually a soup, sandwich, and pb & j. (did i mention hes a hungry guy by the time lunch rolls around?) if its early still, he’ll go for any of the souflees. another employee always orders on the wild rice soup days, sans bread bowl bc we’re trying to be carb conscious as a group… although i think there are a few cheats during the off hours!
I always get the pick two with the garden veggie soup and Mediterranean veggie sandwich or a asiago cheese bagel with sun dried tomato cream cheese. Yum! I think I know what I am having for lunch!
The french toast bread pudding looks great! Maybe a bit sweet for breakfast, though, I think it would be great on a brunch buffet with something savory to balance it out.
I am a big fan of the “pick two” as well, opting for some combination of bacon turkey bravo, sierra turkey, veggie wrap, greek salad, and broccoli cheddar soup.
This looks so good! I’ve honestly never had anything of theirs besides picking up a dozen bagels – those things are SO good. But I’d definitely love to try a sandwich or salad.
I was so stoked when Panera finally came to MA. I LOVE the cinnamon sugar bagels toasted with honey walnut cream cheese.
My go to is always the French Onion Soup in a bread bowl. YUM!!! Then I finish it off with a chocolate chip muffie. Double YUM!!!
I don’t really have a favorite or go to. I usually end up there for breakfast so it is usually either a mini quiche, bagel or a breakfast sandwich.
I love panera… for bfast Jalepeno Cheddar Bagel with a non fat chai tea latte… (yes it’s an odd combo) for lunch/dinner… either 1/2 tomato soup 1/2 Italian Combo or 1/2 greek salad with 1/2 turkey sandwhich…
I get broccoli cheese soup in a bread bowl with extra bread for dunking NUM!
looks so good! I usually get the chicken noodle soup and that cherry walnut salad or a panini!
My go to is their Jalapeño & Cheddar Bagel Breakfast Sandwich. Made with all natural egg, a thick slice of Vermont white cheddar and smoked, lean ham all grilled on their Jalapeño & Cheddar bagel. It is soooo amazingly great tasting! Paired with a cup of their coffee it is my ideal power breakfast!
I love the broccoli cheddar soup in a bread bowl, but can only get it on days when I can indulge.
Thanks for pointing out their recipes – I didn’t even know they had those on their website!
I always get the fuji apple chicken salad!
no way can i pick just “one” go to. love any of their breads/bagels! and, add a side salad w/soup of the day (in a bread bowl of course) and i am good to go!
That bread pudding sounds amazing. My go to for lunch is always the vegetable soup with a classic salad and whole grain baguette.
asiago roast beef is my favorite!
I love the soup and bread bowl.
I switched to the asian sesame chicken salad ever since my beloved mozz tomato salad with grilled focaccia disappeared!

on those cold rainy days nothing is better than broccoli cheese soup in a bread bowl!
Med. veggie sandwich toasted with an apple!
The Pick 2 is where it’s at! I usually go for tomato soup and the turkey artichoke panini, but since they introduced that thai chopped chicken salad, i can’t resist that!
That bread pudding looks so good. It’s the most breakfasty of desserts already, so this just makes it exatra amazing.
I also do the pick 2, and my all time favorite thing they have at Panera is their black bean soup. I usually pair it with whatever they have for a vegetarian panini.

Love their turkey sandwich with chips and an apple
I always order a big bbq chicken salad, and a hunk of their delish bread!
During the winter months..I long for the grilled cheese with the creamy tomato soup.
During summer I stick with the classic cafe salad and the bacon turkey bravo. YUM!
I’ve never been to Panera, but I’d love to use the certificate to give it a try.
I would love to win this, Panera always makes me crave their bread, so I normally order their chicken noodle soup in a bread bowl!
This is especially tempting because there is a new Panera opening in Porter Square! I am always on the search for the best breakfast sandwiches that I can find, so the last time I was there I had a bacon, egg, and cheese on an Everything bagel. And sometimes one of their muffin tops makes it into my hands somehow…
For Thanksgiving my mom made a bread pudding with cinnamon roll bread, I imagine it was similar to this… delicious!
That’s tough…Sometimes I get a coffee and jalapeno cheddar bagel and other times I get the pick two-broccoli cheddar soup and a salad.
