Black Bean Cilantro Turkey Burgers

I must admit I didn’t think this would ever happen. Hubby has actually requested Turkey Burgers on more than one occasion. I have to thank Joelen for that! I’ve made her Cilantro Turkey Burgers more than once since I tried out the recipe. We both love it. I like to make 4 patties at a time and freeze the other two for a quick dinner some other day.

We had some leftover red onion and 1/2 a can of black beans. I didn’t want to let them go to waste so I thought they might go well in the turkey burger. I gave it a shot and they turned out great!
I just chopped up the onion and beans in my food processor and mixed it into the turkey mixture prior to forming the patties. I cooked them on our griddle and served them with sliced avocado on top and sweet potato home fries.

This is a wonderful idea. I have never thought of using sweet potatoes in veggie burgers and I am thinking about it now.

I’ve tried these and love them! however, how do you make them look so good and stay together? Mine are really wet (even after adding a lot more flour) and stick like crazy to my skillet. Any suggestions?
