Landscape Monday

Photo week is BACK! This time Steph is hosting and she chose the auto-settings as the theme. Monday means Landscape.

According the the CD that cake with my camera, Landscape mode will turn off the flash, enhance greens and blues, increase contrast and it will focus on the closest object. So I wanted to go out and take some pictures that could benefit from this setting.

After my afternoon outside, I decided that I don’t like landscape mode on my camera that much. In fact I might consider using it for my food pictures in the future since the flash gets turned off. I didn’t feel like it enhanced the color of the sky very much…

That being said, here are my landscape pictures. I went to a local park to take these pictures. Enjoy! Be sure to tune in tomorrow for Macor Tuesday.

Willow trees and a park bench.

I love how bright the blue is in this picture.

Hidden walkway from the back of the park up to a main road. Hubby and I found this shortcut after living here over a year!

Welcome to the BBs. I did cucumber towers with mine the first time I made this, then stuffed cherry tomatoes and new potatoes for a work event today.

Your pics are great. Wish I’d thought of the salt.:-)

    Hi Jen,

I just discovered your blog :). I’m Sophie from Flour Arrangements. In just about a week I’ll be moving to Boston (actually Cambridge) from Austin, and I’m hoping to start a cooking group when I get there. I actually TRY to cook dairy free too (although sometimes I need a little dairy in there, ya know?); so it’d be cool to have a fellow ‘somewhat non-dairy’ foodie in the group! Drop me a comment on my blog, or even an email, if you’re interested. It’s nice meeting you!

Oh, and feel free to tell any of your friends about it :).

These would be fun to make. I’ll bet the hardest part was scooping out the tomatoes. They make for a delicious and colourful appetizer.
