Mystery Meet #2 – Myers+Chang

I first heard about Mystery Meet in Delicious Dishings. The concept is simple. 20 foodies and bloggers meet at a restaurant for a meal. They don’t find out the location of the meal until the day before it happens. This was only the second Mystery Meet so some of the details are still being ironed out. Even so, I had a blast meeting some new bloggers and Bostonians who love food as much as I do.

We were given hints ahead of time as to the location of the Mystery Meet. Joyce guessed correctly that we’d be at Myers+Chang. She was also at the very interesting frozen entree event that I went to at Myers+Chang and I know I was excited to get to try an entire meal from the restaurant.

I didn’t take many pictures that night because I was just having too much fun. A lot of the food was the same as what I had tried previously. Everything was extremely delicious and fresh. It was all served family style so you could have more of the things you liked and skip on the things that were too spicy for you (I’m a wimp when it comes to spice). We even got to try an assortment of desserts at the end of the night. The meal was $36 not including tax, tip, and drinks. I had a lot of fun and definitely look forward to doing this again!

If you are interested in learning more about Mystery Meet, check them out on Facebook, twitter, or their website. Tickets went very quickly for this event, but have no fear, next month they’re going to have 30 Boston foodies at Mystery Meet. Some of the people I met last night include Joyce from Boston Chomper, David, the owner of Boston Chocolate Tours and his daughter Sam, Bianca from Confessions of a Chocoholic, Cynthia from Wicked Tasty Harvest, Emily from Angry Little Chemist, and Daisy from Indulge Inspire Imbibe.

I grew up in Boston and live now right outside of Boston, in Burlington. Thanks for this wonderful list. I want to try all of these restaurants.

Please come and take a look at my new blog, it’s similar to “Beantown Baker.” Looking forward to hearing from you!

    Thanks.

I think I played with that same “Let’s Pretend” restaurant version when I was little and spent afternoons writing menus and making play-dough food!
anyways – nice list! I’ve heard great things about the Mexican food in the BH gas station but haven’t had a chance to eat there myself!

If I am looking to make this a one layer cake instead of a three layer cake, how much time would you suggest cooking?
