Avon Walk Weekly Update
It’s time again for my weekly Avon Walk update. If you’d like to see my full training calendar, check it out here or on the left sidebar of my blog.
Thoughts on training: The weather this week was great here in Boston. I was able to get outside with some friends for a couple long walks. I wish it hadn’t been pouring all weekend though… I’m hoping spring will come (and stay!) soon enough so outdoor walking can be a regular event.
Thoughts on fundraising: A couple more donations showed up this week, which is great! I’m only $350 away from my goal.
Miles walked last week: 5.5
Minutes doing cardio: 0
Minutes doing cross training or weight lifting: 0
Total $$ raised: $2,150
Thanks to everyone who has donated so far! If you’d like to donate to support my walk, you can make a donation on my Avon Walk page.

I am Jen the Beantown Baker. Engineer by day and baking maven by night. Hubby serves as my #1 fan and official taste tester. We got hitched back in 2006. Barefoot. In the sand. With the waves crashing behind us. It was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made.

I can’t decide which of those last 3 to try first…but I think I’m going with the Snickerdoodle Blondies. My husband and I are both nuts for snickerdoodles!
I adore anything pumpkin and the pumpkin spice brownies look wonderful!
I’ve tried the Almost Candy Bars but that’s it. I must try the others!
I have wanted to try all these! Especially the ice cream bars. Yum!
yum. yum. yum. and yum! love those ice cream bar thingys!
I am the cook in our family, my daughter the baker – I’ll have to show her this post – thanks for the recap!
I love “best of” posts. Every one of these goodies looks amazing!
oh my gosh, they all look amazing!
Ok, I’ll take one of each please! And could you please share your secret on cutting those perfect bars?! Mine always have crumbs coming off the edge, or part of it sticks to the knife and leaves a big hole in the bar!
Melissa – I always chill the brownies completely. Usually in the fridge. I find that helps. I also use a pastry cutter to cut them.
Thank you so much! I am even more impressed knowing that you can wait until these goodies are completely chilled before cutting into them. 🙂 I think that scraper needs to go on my Christmas list!
