What’s Baking January Round Up
This month, I had the privilege of hosting the What’s Baking challenge. I chose a theme to encourage people to “Try Something New For the New Year”. I hope that the other bakers enjoyed the excuse to make something they have never tried before. In no particular order, here are what the other bakers made:
Carrie from Carrie’s Sweet Life made Cinnamon Raisin Swirl Bread
Catherine from Pursuing Domestic Goddness-ness made Cheese Souffle
Ange from The Tiny Tyrant’s Kitchen made Pistachio Cake
Cara from The Boys Made Me Do It! made Coconut Madeleines
Lindsey from Our Share of the Harvest made Gluten Free Breadsticks
Stephanie from Brownies and Blondies made Swiss Meringue Buttercream
Jade from The Mess Pot made Warm Apple Bread Pudding
Jessica from The Jey of Cooking made Cinnamon Chip Bread
Dani from Cloud 8 1/2 made Cinnamon Rolls
Heather from Hezzi-D’s Books and Cooks made Cranberry Orange Scones
And last but not least, I made Mini Whole Wheat Bagels
Be sure to watch for the What’s Baking recipes coming in February. Dunne’ from With a Cherry On Top will be hosting. She has selected a theme of “Baked with Love”. We will all be making an item that would be appropriate for a great Valentine’s Day menu.
I don’t remember seeing those chocolate chip cheesecake cookie dough bars… I’m sure if I had, I would have made them by now! They look awesome. (And I’m one of the admirers of your spice rack.)
I’d never seen that spice rack of yours before! So cool! All those recipes sound fab!
that spice rack is insane! I became extremely jealous of your kitchen just now. fun to see which recipes got the most hits.
I really need to try making those Oreo cupcakes sometime! They look delicious!
What a wonderful year of blogging! Wishing you and C a Happy New Year!
It’s interesting that most of these top choices are desserts…I guess most of your readers have a sweet tooth!
P.S. That spice rack is SO cool.
Your kitchen looks so nice! And I will def be trying those oreo cupcakes and the red velvet cheesecake 🙂
I’ll tell you how you can go wrong with the chocolate overdose cake. You can drop the brownie and cake layers on the floor. Ugh. I did end up making some very delicious chocolate overdose cake balls with the bigger pieces though…
