Hello and an Introduction!
I’ve always loved to bake and have recently become more confident in my cooking skills. This blog will document various meals that my hubby and I make in our new (to us) Boston kitchen. It is very small and gets very hot, but we love living in Boston, so it’s a sacrifice we’re willing to make!
We try to eat healthy and after recently rejoining WW and finding out I’m lactose intolerant, most of the recipes I use are altered accordingly. I will always post the original recipe along with the changes I have made.
I hope you enjoy the blog!

I am Jen the Beantown Baker. Engineer by day and baking maven by night. Hubby serves as my #1 fan and official taste tester. We got hitched back in 2006. Barefoot. In the sand. With the waves crashing behind us. It was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made.

I don’t remember seeing those chocolate chip cheesecake cookie dough bars… I’m sure if I had, I would have made them by now! They look awesome. (And I’m one of the admirers of your spice rack.)
I’d never seen that spice rack of yours before! So cool! All those recipes sound fab!
that spice rack is insane! I became extremely jealous of your kitchen just now. fun to see which recipes got the most hits.
I really need to try making those Oreo cupcakes sometime! They look delicious!
What a wonderful year of blogging! Wishing you and C a Happy New Year!
It’s interesting that most of these top choices are desserts…I guess most of your readers have a sweet tooth!
P.S. That spice rack is SO cool.
Your kitchen looks so nice! And I will def be trying those oreo cupcakes and the red velvet cheesecake 🙂
I’ll tell you how you can go wrong with the chocolate overdose cake. You can drop the brownie and cake layers on the floor. Ugh. I did end up making some very delicious chocolate overdose cake balls with the bigger pieces though…
